There's even an iPhone and iPod Touch remote feature coming soon so that you can control QuicKeys from either of these devices. However, the effectiveness of the voice function was less than reliable and in the end, I can see you'd spend more time trying to get it right than just using your mouse to open an application. I like the fact that QuicKeys alllows you to record actions to carry out at a specific date and time, and even trigger functions via voice. A big switch at the top allows you to switch QuicKeys on and off and I suppose you could even record a macro for this too. QuicKeys will prompt you to save it and you can preview what you've recorded. Recording macros is extremely easy - simply hit record, perform the action and press stop. There is a lengthy setup process for QuicKeys as it configures it specifically for your machine, which is a bit annoying but the actual interface is slick and fairly self explanatory. Simply tell QuicKeys when to start recording and when to stop recording and it will then make a new shortcut based on your actions. These can be used to automate the executing and closing of applications at the touch of a button, saving you valuable clicking time. We will do our best to keep improving Maestro to write music easy.Shortcuts are collections of one or more steps that perform specific tasks on your computer. Please tap the button in the app and see the topic. Hello Ben, Yes, the key signature can be changed in the middle of the music. I’ll be using it in the future and hope to see these issues fixed. Maybe that’s just my ignorance of not knowing how to use the app but every time I’ve attempted to change a key signature, either nothing will happen or I won’t be able to change it back.īesides these few critiques, I do think this app is promising and a very helpful to-go option for musicians. Key signatures are practically impossible to change back. I don’t know if it depends on how big of a piece you’re making, but I’ve noticed that certain lines tend to lag. There are so many options for every other instrument besides brass instruments.Įven after only using the app for a small amount of time, there are bugs when playing back the music. There are no mellophones or baritones and for the most part, the only options besides a brass section and synthetic brass are a trombone, trumpet/muted trumpet, French horn, and tuba. I’ve used this app for a little while and I’ve noticed that the brass section is lacking compared to other sections.
